Leigh Royal Ark Mariners Installation
 
Some twenty one Royal Ark Mariners gathered at Leigh Masonic Hall to witness Bro Alf Hayes Installed as Commander. The representative of our RW Provincial Grand Master was my good friend W Bro Derek Horrocks RAMGR. Derek is the PGMs Special Rep for the Garston & District Group of lodges.
As a past Special Representative it was always a pleasure to visit his area. Derek also brought with him two distinguished colleagues Eric Hughes RAMGR and Wilf Spencer PrRAMGR.
Anyway, on with the ceremony. Alf was installed in an exemplary manner by the IPC WBro Stuart Southerland Boyd. Derek Todd PrRAMGR, Scribe of the Ladoge gave a very good explanation of and presentation of the Keystone Jewel. The Address to the commander was given by Ken Alker RAMGR, He didn't do bad either!!!
During the risings it was my pleasure to propose Bro Peter Tighe to be our next candidate for Elevation. Business concluded, it was time for pre dinner drinks and then a wonderful meal with wonderful company.
